You're right! We confused each other beetween Stars and DSOs common names.
Nevertheless, I have in my Guide 8 directory a common2.tdf, that I detailed in my previous mail, and which refers undoubtely to star names.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where it is coming from !
Through this .tdf, I can display star names in the range of field I want, and have no problem with that question.
There are, at least 200 star names in the list, which is begining that way:

HIP HD Vmag PPM RA (J2000) dec
RA is in .1 seconds of time, or 1.5 arcseconds at the equator.

Dec is in arcseconds.

11767 8890 2.00 alp UMi 431 91105 321351 Polaris

85822 166205 4.35 del UMi 3067 631325 311711 Yildun

72607 131873 2.06 bet UMi 8758 534422 266960 Kocab

Thanks for the response, but I think we got our signals crossed here! I
thought you were referring to the Common Names of stars, and you thought I
was referring to the Common Names of DSOs. This DSO .TDF has been
incorporated into Guide, and the Dwingeloos (for example) are listed at
Goto|Nebula|Common names|.
