Yes. You can copy as much or as little of RealSky to the hard drive
as you wish, which may mean just copying a single CD or even the files
from a single plate (covering 6 degrees on a side in the sky).

If Guide can't locate the data for the chunk of sky you want, though,
you'll get a message insisting that you insert a particular RealSky CD
into the CD drive. The only way out of it would then be to click Cancel.
Not necessarily a major problem, of course.

Also: Thomas Pfleger recommended use of NTFS for storing your RealSky
data. The reason is that RealSky is made up of small files, of about 10K
or less. If you store it on a "normal" FAT drive, where even the smallest
file may consume 32KBytes or 64 KBytes, you'll find that RealSky "expands"
by a factor of five or more.
