Couple of non-guide related questions to ask:
I have made my own 'everything' for my observatory and scope (software
and hardware):
1) I have not managed to do any better than 0.3 arc/sec/sec error on
my PEC. What is the error your systems have? This means that in a
60 second exposure, the image will have drifted 18 arc seconds
maximum (sometimes it is zero).
2) My 16 bit Cookbook exhibits strange darkening of pixels on lines
where a star has saturated the sensor. The darkening is about 20
pixel values on 65535 (or 1 pixel for 12 bit cookbooks, ie not
visible in a traditional cookbook). The darkening is curiously
along the axis of the common serial buffer output
(ie, not the blooming direction), and seems to start after the
saturation and fade off in about one line's worth (thus wraps
around to the next line). It must be some sort of charge leakage
or trapping. Any ideas? I tried reducing the ADC gain stage to
lower the saturation to less than 65535, but that was not the
problem, so it must be happening in the sensor.
