Me too, can you tell me what you use to open and edit horizon.dat, I would
love to get rid of that aeroplane and add a couple of hills to suit my
horizon.

No, Alex, it was not a dumb question, maybe no one in the users' group knew
the answer. I don't use horizon settings beyond the default, but was
waiting to see if you would get a response. It seems to me that sometimes a
simple question asked here which appears to come from someone who is "less
than advanced" quite often never does get answered. I think you first
raised this question a couple of days ago.
But then, maybe I'm wrong...?
