Constellation Lines and Ground
toadatrix Jul 11, 2005
When I originally got Guide8 many months ago I had it installed on my
Sony laptop. On that machine I selected the options to show
constellation figure lines (not constellation borders) and also to
show the brown colored ground. On that machine I never saw
constellation figure lines drawn for constellations, or parts
thereof,
that were below the horizion; I only saw the brown ground and few
stars below the horizon. Some months ago I uninstalled Guide8 from
my
old Sony laptop and sold that old machine. I then installed Guide8
on
my new Alienware desktop. All my settings are the same as on the old
Sony laptop, but now Guide8 is drawing constellation figure lines
over
the brown ground region that is below the horizon. I may have
updated
Guide8 from Bill's website somewhere along the way so perhaps its not
really comparing apples to apples. Anyway, is there a way with the
latest Guide8 to show constellation figure lines and the brown
colored
ground below the horizon, but still NOT have Guide8 draw any
constellation figure lines that extend over the ground area below the
horizon? Did Guide8's teatment of this change somewhere along the
way
or is there a setting I don't fully understand? Thanks.
