Re: [guide-user] Need some Help

Hi Martin,

Sounds as if you'd like to toggle from Guide's default mode,
where celestial north is at the top of the chart, to an alt/az
mode, where the horizon is level and the zenith is at the top of
the chart. There are several ways to do this.

You can click on the compass symbol shown in the legend area,
or on Display... Inversion Menu, or hit Alt-I. Any of these will
bring up a dialog wherein you can tell Guide to use "Alt/Az (zenith
up)" instead of the default "RA/Dec (north up)" mode.

In the same dialog, you can also set the chart to be inverted,
or mirror imaged, or uninverted. So this is a useful option to
know about, even if you decide to use one of the following methods
instead:

As Jim Gifford suggested, you can instead hit Alt-Z. This toggles
between the default and alt/az modes.

_Or_, as Bernd Brinkmann suggested, you can click on the compass
symbol in the legend area with the _right_ mouse button. That, too,
will toggle between the default and alt/az modes.

(Clicking on legend items will usually cause some meaningful function
to occur; hints are given on the application title bar. Usually,
both mouse buttons do something worthwhile.)
