first make shure that the legend is on: |DISPLAY| |LEGEND| |SHOW
LEGEND|. Then look for COMPASS, this item should be marked.

Now you can right click on the comapass rose in the legend to switch
between a horizontal view (what you want) and the astronomical view
(RA / dec).
