Larry Wood has pretty well summed it up. I'd add that just after
the initial batch of CDs were sent, I realized that some very odd
things were going on in the "Install to Hard Drive" function, along
the very lines you mention: you'd click on items and they would get
asterisked, but then nothing would actually get copied over. An
embarrassing moment, I'm afraid... fortunately, people were very
understanding about it.
