You probably saw a reference to the "in-testing" version, posted at

http://www.projectpluto.com/new.htm

The currently-posted version there appears to be rather stable. (If
anyone has found otherwise, please speak up!) You will see assorted
new features listed there, including the recently-discussed refraction
capabilities.

All you need do is download the 'guide8.zip' file described there,
and unZIP it in your Guide folder. No previous versions for the update
files are needed, either for this or for any of the other updates. I
always have to assume that some people are only just now getting the
update file, and that they don't happen to have the older ones sitting
about on their hard drives.

You will be warned that unZIPping 'guide8.zip' replaces some existing
files. Go ahead and overwrite them. Some new files will be created, and
many old ones will be replaced by the update.
