I have an 8 inch LX200GPS/SMT (bought new in Dec 2004) and I'm
trying to control the scope via a Meade approved RS-232 to USB
cables (and Meade Driver software).I did download the most recent
Guide 8.0 update but I'm still not able to command the scope,via the
Guide Scope Pad or slew Guide to the present scope position. I've
tried all the different Comm ports (1 thru 6)to no avail. I do get
position unread message back. I would appreciate suggestions on how
I might resolve this problem.
