A late reply to this question:

There is no linkage between GSC-ACT, GSC-2.2, 2MASS, B1.0,
and/or A2.0 or UCAC-2. You can turn them on and off separately,
but as you noticed, when you right-click on a star that appears
in multiple catalogs (and those catalogs are all turned on),
the one Guide tells you about is basically random. It'll depend
on which set of coordinates is closest to the point at which you
pick.

But you _can_ right-click on a star and say: "%&(!$@) it, I
got the UCAC-2 identifier for this object, and I really wanted
the B1.0 data for it. Guess I'll click on Next. ~*^@! Now I
got the A2.0 data... Next again... OK, this time I got a B1.0
identifier. Click on More Info, and I'm getting B1.0 data for
this object."
