I have heard that the USNO was making their B catalogue available for a while to people who would send them a hard drive on which to copy it. Unfortunately they did not have the time to fulfill all the requests, so had to discontinue that service.

If anyone was lucky enough to receive a copy of the B catalogue, and would be willing to put it onto a USB hard drive for me, please reply to me at

If you let me know your mailing address, I will send you a USB hard drive for you to load at your convenience. I believe the catalogue is 85 GB, so a 90 or 120 GB drive should do it. Thanks to any who can help. My observatory is "in the boonies" and accessing the B catalgoue on line is not an option.
