Um. I was about to reply that this is _not_ possible. Then I checked
the code and realized that I added this as a "test option" a while back.

Hit Alt-J and enter 5. GSC stars will be toggled off. Use it again to
toggle them back on, of course.

But Tycho-2 stars will remain. So the solution isn't a perfect one!
