As I said earlier, I agree it isn't worth re-writing code for a purely
cosmetic change. However, I just found a simple work-around which may not
be of general interest, but works fine for my purposes. It may be of use to
other users.

My primary interest is in Delta T and historical observations (mainly
eclipses) before 1620. 99% of the time all I need is Local Mean Time to see
the conditions (altitude, azimuth, day or night, visibility of planets,
etc.) at the time of observation. I set the primary time as UT, checked
"Second Time" in the legend menu, set that as LMT, then unchecked "Show
Time" in the legend menu.

Now only the secondary time LMT (with decreased spacing) shows in the
legend. When I do want to know the UT of an observation for some reason, I
just check "Show Time" to show both UT and LMT. Of course, you can use any
two time zones. This may not be useful to most, but it does make charts
look "neater" when you only need one time line to show in the legend.

For those who require two times to show, but would like the same spacing on
both, would it be difficult to copy the code for the secondary time option
and offer a "Third Time" choice in the Legend menu? Not a very elegant fix,
though, and definitely not if it requires much work.
