Yes, the 'guide8.zip' you downloaded on 28 September would have
had the latest 'tear2.exe' (and I also put in the 'add_mpc.hee' file
that Bill Anderson noted was missing).

I've had no further comments on this update, and have made no
more modifications. If I don't hear otherwise, this is about to
be moved over to an "official" update.
