sorry for my late comment.

i have a multiple boot system , with amongst others, winxp and win98.
in my case guide is on partition f, win98 on d and win xp on e;
the rest of this first hardisk is filled with linux fedora core 2.
on my second harddisk is mandrake 9.2 plus some other linux
distributions all straight from the box, as my knowledge of linux is
still (too) limited.
nevertheless guide runs excellent, albeit slower than under windows.
