one option would be to use a browser without Shockwave integration, and that's
what I did. I used the text based browser lynx to download it, then I zipped it
and placed it here:

www.astro.uio.no/~arildmi/Hente/venus-merkur-passasje.swf.gz

It's zipped using gzip under Unix, but you should have no trouble extracting it
using WinZip or some such.
