Re: [guide-user] Quasars in other languages

Hi Jean-Noël,
(Groan) Yes, I see this problem, too. It affects languages in
which the title for that dataset is not 'Quasar' (for example,
'Quasare' in German). Guide doesn't realize that 'Quasar' = 'Quasare'.
People who don't switch languages will not see this problem (which
is probably why I hadn't heard about this bug until now.) The German
users, for example, will turn on 'Quasare', and it'll work just
fine... as long as they don't toggle to English, where there are no
'Quasare'. They'll probably think: $%!(+] it, the quasars vanished...
best go back to Extras, Toggle User Datasets to turn them on. And the
quasars will then reappear.
Because it requires language-switching to see it, it's probably not
a really major bug... but it would be nice if it worked correctly.
At one time, I solved this by having Guide identify datasets by the
file name, which is the same no matter what language you use. (With
some exceptions, such as constellation names...) This worked pretty
well until Guide started handling datasets consisting of multiple files;
I then had to switch to use of the dataset name, and didn't think about
the fact that the dataset names are specific to given languages. I'll
give this one some head-scratching and see what I can do.
