Re: [guide-user] Procedure for Day-Night Clock in Guide

Hi Ross,
My hat's off to you. I hadn't even considered attempting a stunt
like that. (Though I'd not fault people for sticking with GeoClock
for this function...)
Your post caused me to realize something that, in hindsight, ought
to have been blatantly obvious: the same chunk of code in Guide that
shows eclipses/occultations/transits can, with modest tweaking, switch
to showing areas in sunlight. It already does this, after a fashion:
parts of an occultation path that fall in daylight/twilight areas are
shaded a bit to indicate that fact. I now have Guide capable of showing
a GeoClock-like display. There's still quite a bit of work to do,
such as making it accessible without going through 'startup.mar' and
other ugly things, and revising the data provided when you click on
the chart from "eclipse oriented" to "sun oriented". But at least it's
on the way now.
