Sorry, no, there's no daylight map in Guide. Not a bad idea,
of course. Guide does produce pretty good maps of the earth, and
it's occurred to me that maps showing night vs. day, with some
shading for areas of civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight,
could be useful. Other possible uses for the earth maps would be
showing lunar eclipse regions (*) and artificial satellite ground
tracks. For the latter, some of the tools available for making
"sky tracks" for other objects might be used.
(*) I do provide a little bit of DOS freeware for showing lunar
eclipses at
http://www.projectpluto.com/luneclip.htm . Yes, it
_is_ DOS, written so long ago that I don't know if I even had a
Windows box at the time... but it does a perfectly good job of
showing where and when lunar eclipses will be visible.
