Um. It looks to me as if I did something very strange here, and
I don't really know why! Fortunately, it's quite repairable.

The situation with Landolt stars has long been much more confused
than it ought to have been. We started out with the Landolt stars
split up amongst four datasets, corresponding to the four papers
in which Landolt originally listed these stars. A while back, I
made some efforts to combine all the data, which still had some
not very precise positions from the original papers. Then Brian
Skiff produced a version with much better positions, which I was
able to combine with data from Arne Henden to create a passably
"complete" dataset. That's what is provided in the above file.

Download it, unZIP it, and you will indeed see the Landolt
stars. (Which isn't true of the 'landolt.zip' file; you did
everything right, but I did something wrong somewhere along the
line!) I'll update the 'extras' page to reflect all this.
