Re: [guide-user] UCAC2 Data display

Hi David,

For the nonce, there are two ways. One is to click on a UCAC-2 star,
then on Display, then on the Color item, and select a color that
matches the screen background. (I selected a close, but not exact
match. That way, if I look carefully, I can tell if a star is
coming from UCAC-2... but the three lines aren't bright enough to
be a distraction.)

The second method is to edit the file 'ucac2.tdf' and look for this
line:

type sCe60000;m-20,-10;l-10,-5;m20,-10;l10,-5;m0,25;l0,13;

(The value given after 'type' may be a little different, depending
on the color you've got currently selected.) Change 'type' to ';type':

;type sCe60000;m-20,-10;l-10,-5;m20,-10;l10,-5;m0,25;l0,13;

Guide will then ignore that line, and will draw UCAC-2 stars as
plain ordinary stars, no marker around them.

Actually, there's a fourth way: at some point, I want to make
it possible to select symbols for objects:

...but that doesn't help you right away, I'm sorry to say!
