True. Unfortunately, the MPC provides "parallax constants", a
way of expressing one's location in cylindrical rather than polar
coordinates. I wrote a little routine that grabs the MPC file and
churns out the 'mpc_stat.dat' file. This _does_ mean the file needs
updating every so often.
