Joe,
I have downloaded and use a free utility called "Printkey" to capture and easily modify the Guide screens to tailor make my sky charts. Give it a try.

Subject: [guide-user] Star Charts Printing

I am trying to print star charts on an inkjet printer and don't have
the option of printing black stars on white as with a laser printer
in DOS. I am using Windows.
Even though I use chart mode to print, the lighter colors I have
selected for normal or realistic view still appear in chart mode as
those lighter colors and refuse to print or print very lightly and
are unreadable. I have set my printer to monochrome and that doesn't
help.
Is there any workaround other than setting my normal viewing colors
dark enough to print every time I want to create a chart?

Also, I can't seem to find a way to change the color of
constellation boundaries and there's no way to get "styles" to
stick, I see <wider> <narrower> <cancel>, and of course X, (in the
upper-right of the window) for close, No OK button to set it to
change.

Thanks
Joe Lippencott
