Guide Users,
Guide 8 was working fine on my PC (Windows 98, Adelphia cable Internet
connection) until just a few days ago. Suddenly, each time I try to run
Guide8.exe I get an error message:
"The program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. ...
If the problem persists contact the program vendor. ... Details: GUIDE#
caused an invalid page fault in module GUIDE#.EXE at ...".
This happens whether I use Guide8.exe from my hard disk, from the Guide
8.0 CD-ROM, or from the downloaded version of 2003 Sep 19. It also happens
with Guide7.exe from my hard disk or the Guide 7.0 CD-ROM, or Guide6.exe
from the Guide 7.0 CD-ROM.
Because it occurs with all versions of Guide, the trouble must be in
my computer. But where can it be? What should I look for? Any
suggestions?
By the way, thanks to Kevin Cooper, who provided the solution to my
problem with green "non-stars".
