Hi Andrea,
Thanks for the comment on changing the colors for the symbol
used for Landolt stars... but you'll probably find it easier to
click on a Landolt star, then on "Display", then on the colored
square in the dialog box. Guide will then offer you a full selection
of colors, not just the palette of 12 or 13 colors. Select one,
and Landolt stars will then be drawn in that color.
If you're curious, there's some info on how "full-color" symbols
are defined at
http://www.projectpluto.com/tdf_info.htm#rgb_symbols
But with the "select a color" button, you don't really _need_ to
know that part!
At present, you _do_ need to know a bit about how symbols are
defined if you want to change their shapes (for example, you want
Landolt stars drawn with rectangles, or circles, or whatever,
instead of with their current symbol.) The above page will help
with that. Eventually, I want to have this problem handled with
a "palette" of symbols; you'd click on "Change Symbol", and get
a dialog showing a few dozen (or hundred) possible symbols, and
could then select one.
