I installed Guide with either kaspersky av or
symantec_norton corporate av and I've never
had any problem with Guide or updating Guide.
I rarely if ever disengage av during app install
and I see no problems, at least for the last
few years. going back further in time, norton
retail av could cause havoc.
then again, I'm not an IT so what do I know...
