Thomas, you're right... CLEM_BMP was compiled for Win32. I just
recompiled it to use a DOS extender (the same one used for DOS Guide).
Download this (about 68K):

You may get a 'stub error' when you run this. If so, copy over the
file \watcom\dos4gw.exe from your Guide CD-ROM, and try again.

CONFUSED LINE 79s:

mentioned in your e-mail." Errrmmm... I'd suggest getting the current
software from the Web site, running this, and seeing what you get; it
sounds to me as if you must have an old version. If you still see odd
things, please e-mail me your STARTUP.MAR file so I can see what you mean.

TYCHO-2/GUIDE 8 PROGRESS REPORT:

I've spent much of the last week processing Tycho-2. In some ways,
the data is laid out much differently than Tycho-1 was. It contains
almost no cross-references to other catalogs, for example; I had to do
some odd merging of Tycho-1 data with Tycho-2. However, I'm mostly
done, and should be able to turn my efforts to other parts of Guide 8
shortly.

My next target will probably be cross-indexing A2.0 to GSC so that
(among other things) Guide 8.0 will be able to omit almost all of the
spurious objects in GSC.
