Hi Lawrence.

I never have seen that file either, but like you I am using an LX200
telescope and I think that the align.dat file only comes into play when you
are using something like the JMI-MG encoders. As you know the "Add
alignment star Button syncs the LX200 to the location of the screen center
in the Guide display. Page 39 and 38 are instructions for an Encoder-based
systems.

I also have never read the information on how Guide communicates with the
LX200 but I think it is time I did.
