I had a similar problem with LX200/ACP software and MaxIm software reporting
different coordinates and the answer was that one uses J2000 coordinates,
and the other adjusts what displays for J(now) coordinates. Might be
something along those lines?

Sorry, I didn't read the entire thread before I posted. Though I'm not using
Guide for scope control, I saw a similar discrepancy between a Losmandy
Gemini's goto coordinates and those reported by Guide8. I believe, but I'm
not sure, the difference is due to Guide adjusting for proper motion.

But don't take my word for it; I'm waiting like you, for Bill Gray to answer
this question.
