I was pleasantly surprised to find the
three UCAC2 CDs from USNO in my snail_mailbox.
I followed the procedures on Guide web page for
using UCAC2,
I put the correct CD in drive,
magnified the view to 30' and boom lots of stars,
with right_click to UCAC2 catalogue info.

if only all my software (& OS) worked as well as
Guide...

I have not had time to read thru all the info on
the CDs, but see there seem to be some utility apps
on the CDs. if anyone is familiar with those ref
windows or DOS, please advise by private email.
