Hi Larry,

Dunno why you'd be having problems here... it sounds as if you may
be doing something unnecessarily complex; all that's required is to
edit the mark file in question, then use 'File... Load a Mark' to
load it. (Or edit 'startup.mar' and fire up Guide.)

Be warned that if you edit 'startup.mar', Guide won't re-load
it until you fire it up again; and Guide re-writes 'startup.mar'
each time it's shut down. If you edited it and saved your changes,
then shut down a still-running Guide, your changes would be
overwritten. So: with Guide shut down, edit 'startup.mar',
_then_ fire up Guide, and you'll see your changes. Perhaps this
describes the problem you've seen?
