I think just about everyone doing asteroid occultation
predictions _does_ get data directly from Ron Stone, the
USNO gent who runs the FASTT program. I'm on the mailing
list for this data, which appears to include a long list
of folks now; I'm sure Ron wouldn't mind adding you to
the list.

I have sent you (via private e-mail) an example of the
sort of e-mail Ron sends. I'd suggest you give this a try
and see what sort of results you get; if you like the idea
of doing this sort of thing, you could then e-mail Ron and
join in on the fun.
