Inversion Settings

Hi David,

Why not look at Crux and orient it as it should be? Than you have the normal
situation.
I suppose this is uninverted, unmirrored.
Then if your scope reverses, you should invert the picture and if you add in
an uneven number of mirros, you mirror the display.
If not Crux, isn't there another constellation you know by heart?
You can also compare with pictures in SkyTel, taken from Downunder, where
landscape is included.
Success!

Subject: [guide-user] Inversion Settings

I'm having a real brain strain at the moment..... Can someone
confirm what I should have the screen orientation/inversion settings
set to so that what Guide shows me is oriented exactly the way I
will see it through my EP. I am in the Southern Hemisphere, using
an SCT with a standard Mirror Diagonal.

I would test it out myself but have had nothign but cloud for a week
now and I'm trying to work out if I stuffed up an occultation or not
(VLM on that night was 2.0 due to high sirrus + bright moon halo so
I could only see 3 stars through the scope. One was the target and
they formed a triangle......)

Cheers

David
