never been to the Southern Hemisphere, but I suspect that if your mirror the
image N/S, you'll be all set.
A SCT with a diagonal has got an odd number of reflections, which means that up
in the sky is up in the eyepiece, whereas East and West flip sides in the
eyepiece, relative to the sky. And since East is to the Right "down under"
(when looking at the meridian), it will have to be to the left in your eyepiece.
And that's exactly what you get by mirroring N/S.
Now, I only hope that this reasoning proves the preferred method of setting up
Guide, rather than my lack of understanding ... :)
Someone will correct me, no doubt, if I'm wrong!
