Hi Bill,
I tried everything mentioned here by you and others, but can't make useable
BMPs any more. As recently as this past April, I was making BMPs and
converting them to JPGs and/or GIFs without any problem. When this subject
came up I tried again. Couldn't open the new ones in any program I have,
but all the old ones opened fine in all programs. Tried changing video
modes and resolutions, still wouldn't work. Did a clean install from the
G8 CDs, still nothing.
The only thing which has changed in the interim was my video card. A
friend gave me a razzle-dazzle up-to-date card with 32 megs of memory (my
*old* one had 2 megs!). Could the new driver have caused the problem?
Can't think of anything else.
I'll go with print-screen and just crop the toolbar out. I thought I
remembered Guide had a full-screen mode, but can't seem to find it. Any
chance of implementing a full-screen mode so we don't have to crop?
