The command is "Extra" -> "Set Lat/Lon from chart" (it isn't available at
level 1 so one have to zoom a little). Before that, it can be useful to
select the location with the command "Go to" -> "Country..." or "City..." or
"Enter location name" (is it more accurate than clicking on the map ?)

As I have copied the Guide CDs to my hard drive, an advantage is that I can
edit the file \GEO\GEONAMES.DAT and I made some tries to enter
"Home" as a new location. Eventually, I added a first line as
+50*47.4+004*22.3 Home
That works :-) Now when I "Enter location name" as "Home" in the
"Location..." dialog, Guide sets
Longitude = E 4 22' 18.0", Latitude = N50 47' 24,0"
That's a substancial gain in accuracy :-)

Bill, what is the meaning of the digit in column 8 and of those in columns
18-20 ? Can I erase them with no risk ?

If someone wants to do the same, notice that
- in column 7, the quote is replaced with a decimal point and Guide
interprets correctly the following number as decimal arcminutes :-)
- the same in columns 16-17 :-))
- to be able to enter a decimal part for arcminutes in latitude, the 3 digit
number in columns 18-20 is erased, with apparently no effect
- the name of the location still begins in column 22

If I want a more accurate position, I have to enter it manually.
But here is a problem. As Guide offers the possibility ("Settings..." ->
"RA/Dec format...") to choose a format for latitude / longitude (N/S, E/W ;
+/-, W positive ; +/-, E positive), I choosed the 3rd one.
So, when I enter the Location setting dialog box, these two coordinates are
displayed accordingly. But if I quit that box with the OK button, I get an
error message "Needs compass symbol", whether I changed any value
(tempertaure e.g.) or not. So I have to replace + with N and E in the two
fields each time I want to modyfy any value. This is not very convenient.
