'normal colors', instead of 'chart mode'. For details as to why

Josch, I'd wager that your 'home planet' is currently set to be
Mars. At one time, I had Guide rigged up so that all planets were
listed in the 'go to planet' dialog, including the home planet. If
you clicked on that, you wound up looking at the nadir (that is,
"normally", if you want to look at the Earth, you'd look straight
down.) This made sense of a sort, but it confused some people.
So I just dropped the home planet from the "go to planet" list.

The missing bitmaps are another puzzle. When you click on a planet,
then for "display... options", does it give any radio buttons for the
various bitmaps? Perhaps something clobbered your settings so they
are all shown as shaded spheres or outlined shapes?

Also, if you've not checked "Planet features (16 MBytes)" in the
Extras... Install to Hard Drive menu, _and_ the Guide CD isn't in the
drive, Guide won't be able to find the bitmaps anywhere. So it will
give up and drop back to shaded spheres.

David, dunno why you're getting blobs for the grid display. But
I'd suggest clicking on a grid line, then on "Display", then "Styles".
Use "Narrower" until the fat blobby line shrinks to a more "normal"
width, and select the style you want to use.

BTW, Laurent, you mentioned that it would be nice to have azimuth
run from -180 to +180, instead of 0 to 360. I'd not heard of that
scheme, but it will be supported in the next update.
