Aha! Just tried it that way, with the magnitude limit set to be
very bright, and sure enough, the moon disappeared as it came
close to the sun. Thank you; that was exactly the hint I needed.

Only problem there is that Guide now shows a slew of faint
satellites (and will show more, once I catch up with the most
recent batch of discoveries). I usually have a fixed limit of 13.5,
just faint enough to keep Amalthea=J-5=Barnard's moon from
showing up when I zoom in on Jupiter. Show them all, and
Jupiter looks as if it's at the center of a swarm of insects.
