Same here. The color changes to a 'gray' and scrolling the window will restore the black background.

I noticed this a very long time ago but kept forgetting to mention it.
If you do a right click to get more info on an object, you get a
detailed window displayed: (OK so far). Switch to another program, eg.,
a word processor. When you switch back, the info window has changed
colour. The window colour can be restored by scrolling.
