Hi Christian,
Just dug back through some old e-mails... I had forgotten that I
asked SBIG about the ST-2000 chip placement shortly after it was
announced. I got a vague answer back, and eyeballed it from the
pictures on the site.
However, this is now documented at
http://www.sbig.com/sbwhtmls/ccdplacement.htm
The dimensions given on that page indicate that the string in
'ccds.nam' should be 0,.8952,.223,.295,192,165 . It indicates that
the guider chip is _not_ square (probably they're omitting a few
lines at the top or bottom). This also confirms your larger inter-
chip spacing (you had .8986, I guesstimated .8221, SBIG says .8952.)
All of this will be reflected in the next update to Guide I post.
Thanks! -- Bill
