Re: Missing CCD entry

Hi Christian,

(Note to those wondering what the heck we're discussing: as
described at the end of the file 'ccds.nam', it's possible to add
your own CCD chip specs to Guide, complete with the size and
positioning of one or two guiding chips, as used in the SBIG
and MegaTek cameras.)

Hmmm... are you running Guide in German? If so, you need
to edit CCDS.NAD, the German-language version of the CCD
list. Seems the most likely culprit. (I've just added a paragraph
to 'ccds.nam' to mention the versions for other languages.)

On another matter... I'm curious as to why you're altering the
line in this manner? The default height/width ratios are based
on the main chip having 7.4-micron pixels, 1200x1600, with
the guiding chip being a TC-211 with 165x192 pixels, 13.75 by
16 microns (which actually works out to be a square array,
even though the pixels aren't.)

Width ratio: (165*13.75) / (7.4*1600) = .223
Height ratio: (192*16) / (7.4*1200) = .297

Now, I guess I could see opening the ST-2000 and moving the
guider chip around. But the line you give also increases the
width ratio. Is this due to some alteration you've made in the
camera?
