Hi folks,

After seeing the assorted "mouse wheel doesn't work on my
machine" posts, I checked the settings for mine (a "brand X"
version of an Intelli-mouse. Seems it can be configured to
translate mouse wheel movements into scrolling commands
automatically, thus letting it work with software that doesn't
explicitly support mouse wheels.

I switched it to run as a "generic wheel mouse", and suddenly
got the same behavior mentioned on this list by others: most
apps support the mouse wheel, but Guide doesn't. I added
explicit mouse wheel support, though, and Guide's "help/more
info" window again began working properly. You should all see
this the next time I post an update.
