Yes, existing A10.dat files worked. Even newly downloaded A2.0 binary files
renamed to A10.dat work. That's interesting too, "A2.0" binary renamed
A10.DAT working.

I placed my SA1.0 on another drive E:\ Haven't tried putting it on C:\

Maybe there's an 'area of avoidance' around brighter stars. Take a look at
GSC catalog around Sirius.

Same here when using SA10, a "A10.IDX" file is created too.

Yup, both A10.dat and A10.IDX but the A10.dat is Zero K in size.

Here's something I though of driving home tonight. What about changing the
file extensions on the SA10 files on disk from Zone0000.ast to
Zone0000.DAT? Dunno.

Boy, I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I don't mean to say
I'm glad you're having troubles too, what I'm saying is that I'm glad the
problem is repeatable and therefore can be investigated. Thkx for your
