It is quite common to get this kind of result when trying to compute occultations with Guide. The reason for these 'misses' is that Guide uses precalculated asteroid elements (see previous messages to this group to get details) and other (more current) predictions use elements based on recent observations.
If you want to get the same results you should get the most recent elements for the asteroid. Notice that these elements will be useful for this prediction in particular but will be much worse than the precomputed ones ('integrated' in celestial mechanics jargon) in later dates.
Try to get back to this group's earlier discussion about MPCORB elements database to get a clearer view of what I'm trying to explain you...it is not easy and, as is common in life, everything is a compromise: if you want to get a high precision now, you'll lose it later and the other way round...
Hope it will help you. Bye.
Juan

Juan,
That worked. Thanks.
Just for grins, you might want to see if Guide shows Chiron (biggest centaur, asteroid #2060) occulting 6296 00177 on March 29 about 11:43 UT from your location.
BTW, Guide shows a near miss from my local, about .3 arc seconds.
Cheers,
RB
