DSS/Clearing data/'showpick.txt'

Hi folks,
Glen, dunno why the "add DSS image" function would fail. From
where did you get the DSS image? And is it in FITS format?
(If you got it in, for example, GIF format, Guide wouldn't know
what to do with the image. The image has to have certain data
in its header giving its position, size, and orientation in the sky.)
Bertrand, the "click here to remove downloaded data" functions
work on single datasets. For example, right-click on a B1.0 star,
then on "more info", and you'll see a highlighted "click to remove
downloaded data." This will remove B1.0 stars _only_, not the
other datasets.
But it _will_ remove all B1.0 stars. Your point about eliminating
only stars in a selected area is well-taken; I just don't have a good
solution to that problem right now. You can either edit the file
'b10.dat' (similar files exist for the other datasets) and delete
certain lines, or you can use the "click to remove downloaded
data" function, then re-download the parts you wanted to keep.
About 'showpick.txt': be warned that all this contains is the same
data you see when you clicked on the object (name, magnitude,
rise/set/transit times, and so forth), plus the RA/dec of the object,
and the RA/dec of the point where the mouse was clicked. I don't
expect this to be especially useful for most people, except those
such as Paul who are compiling lists of coordinates.
