Yes, that bug is fixed... I did that shortly after you mentioned it,
then forgot about it. Dunno if I mentioned it at the time, but it
turned out that certain commands in the "user object" dialog were
causing Guide to go back to a default version of 'guide.dat', with
all sorts of ugly side effects.

I think it may have been at the root of some mysterious bug
reports I've had over the years, but yours was the first report to
give me the crucial details I needed to track the bug down and fix it.
