downloaded the latest 'upgrade' and changed the suggested line in

I had that problem for most of yesterday (Sat.) afternoon. My original
line was '79 pl contr 0 256 0.00' and just changing the 0.00 to 60 or 60.00
didn't do it (and caused other problems, like stars appearing as huge
blobs) so I changed it to '79 pl contr 50 214 60.00' and that does show
some features; but the number of features shown is fixed according to the
field of view, and I can't change it by alt-period or alt-semicolon.
