JMI alignment stars

Bill J Gray Mar 13, 2003

Hi Richard,

Some time ago, Steve O'Leary put together a list of alignment stars
for the JMI-III. I posted it at

http://www.projectpluto.com/extras.htm#jmi_iii

Then I added it to Guide 8. If you look under "Extras... Toggle User-Added
Datasets", you'll see a "JMI-III Setup Stars" database. So only users
of older versions actually need download the files provided at the above
URL.

Only problem is, I've no idea what a JMI-III is, and Google doesn't find
any reference to this device. If we're lucky, it's actually the same as
your device (30 alignment stars, stored in \misc_dat\jmi3.dat). If not,
you can copy the 'jmi3.dat' file from the CD-ROM to your Guide directory.
Open it up in Notepad or the editor of your choice, and add/delete stars
as needed. Guide will use the copy of 'jmi3.dat' in its own directory,
overriding the older copy.

And if you do this, of course, please send me a copy, and I'll make
a suitable update on the Web site.
