OK, I think I'm stupid or have gone mad, but I can't seem to select
an image correctly: when I alt-click (I'm left-handed) and get the
dialogue box to pop up for an image/object (it is the "OK - More
Info - Next - Display" box, right?), the increase/decrease
brightness/contrast buttons are disabled. Ditto if I click "More
Info" or "Display" ... the buttons only accept clicks when no
dialogue box is displayed, and then they don't do anything to the
image.

I would've posted sooner, but I was determined this was very simple
and I wouldn't embarrass myself. Ah, well. :)
